# ChatGPT Connection Guide

ChatGPT needs a remote HTTPS MCP endpoint to connect to this server. `localhost` on your computer is not reachable from ChatGPT.

Availability of custom apps or MCP connections depends on the account, workspace, and client features available to you. Do not assume every ChatGPT Plus account can connect custom MCP apps.

## Requirements

- Run the local server.
- Publish it through a secure HTTPS tunnel or reverse proxy.
- Configure the remote endpoint as `https://<public-host>/mcp`.
- Configure bearer authentication.
- Test read-only tools first.

This server exposes only allowlisted repository documentation and status files.
